Each General Secretariat covers different sectors, with a total of 27 distinct fields of activity. Their members are exporters. The Western Mediterranean Exporters' Association (BAİB) General Secretariat was founded in 1968. As of 2011, BAİB gained the status of a Regional Association. It provides services to all exporters operating across 25 sectors, ranging from Fresh Fruit and Vegetables to Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals; from Textiles to Ceramic and Soil Industry Products; and from Chemicals to Mining Products.
